Star Wars fans have been waiting a long time to find out when The Book of Boba Fett will arrive on Disney+. Well, that wait is finally over.
The company announced today that The Book of Boba Fett will officially premiere on Wednesday, December 29, 2021. That’s right, Star Wars is moving to Disney+’s new coveted Wednesday slot, so fans should prepare to have some late nights between Tuesday evening and early Wednesday morning as each new episode drops.
On top of that, there’s an official synopsis for the series and a brand-new poster. Here’s the synopsis:
The Book of Boba Fett, a thrilling Star Wars adventure, finds legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett and mercenary Fennec Shand navigating the Galaxy’s underworld when they return to the sands of Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate.
And here’s that moody new poster:
There’s not much to go on from that description, but Boba Fett looking for revenge sounds about right. And seeing as Boba and Fennec will be dealing with the “underworld” of the galaxy, it makes sense that we could expect to see a lot of Boba’s foes hanging around in the shadows.
The only thing left, at this rate, is a confirmation of the number of episodes as well as that coveted trailer. With the Boba Fett special look coming on Disney+ Day on November 12, it’s possible we can get a trailer then. But, for now, there’s yet another waiting game.
