Brach’s Thanksgiving-Flavored Candy Corn Is in the Running for World’s Nastiest Candy

Classic candy corn is notoriously divisive. According to a survey from 2020, the cloying niblets of sugar are the most hated candy in the U.S. For Thanksgiving, the candy corn manufacturer Brach’s has outdone itself with a flavor that’s sure to turn heads (and stomachs). As Texas Standard reports, the product captures the essence of a turkey dinner in candy corn form.

Brach’s seasonal candy corn includes a variety of colorful pieces, each one representing a different aspect of a traditional Thanksgiving meal. Some flavors are sweet—like cranberry sauce, apple pie, and coffee—while others are rarely mentioned in the same breath as dessert.

The fluorescent green pieces are meant to evoke green beans, though they reportedly taste closer to green tea. One of the brownish pieces is a sage-forward stuffing flavor. And, of course, the bag includes turkey and gravy candy corn, which regrettably tastes similar to the real thing.

Preparing a Thanksgiving meal takes a lot of work, and there have been many attempts to serve the nostalgic flavors in a ready-to-eat package. In 2017, the West Coast ice cream chain Salt & Straw added flavors like mashed potatoes and gravy and salted caramel turkey to their menu. When Pringles introduced turducken chips in 2019, they sold out immediately.

If your curiosity overrides your better judgement, you can pick up a 12-ounce bag of Brach’s turkey dinner candy corn on Amazon.
